Vacancies

There are 1,075 posts in total for SSC MTS & Havaldar in 2025, spread across different categories (UR, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS). The distribution is zone/department-wise.


Eligibility Criteria

To apply, candidates must satisfy both the educational qualification and the age limits:

  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10th (Matriculation) from a recognized board. Qualification should be acquired on or before the last date of application.

  • Age Requirements:

    • MTS Posts: 18 to 25 years

    • Havaldar Posts: 18 to 27 years

  • Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories, as per government norms.

  3. Register yourself and note down the registration number.

  4. Fill out personal, educational, category, and other required details.

  6. Pay the application fee, if applicable.

  7. After successful submission, take a printout for your records.

Exam Pattern

Paper-1 (Both MTS & Havaldar)

  • Conducted completely online

  • Multiple choice objective type questions

Specifics for Havaldar:

  • Two sessions:

    1. Session 1: 40 questions, 120 marks (45 minutes) — includes sections like Reasoning & Maths. No negative marking.

    2. Session 2: 50 questions, 150 marks (45 minutes) — includes General Awareness & English. Negative marking applies.


Physical Tests (For Havaldar Only)

Candidates for Havaldar must also meet certain physical efficiency and standards tests (PET / PST). Requirements include:

  • Running/walking distances in specified time

  • Minimum height (different for male/female)

  • Chest measurements (for male)

  • Weight requirements (where applicable)
